In my previous article I wrote about the (hopefully) upcoming Frisian Flag exercises in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands, hosted by the Royal Dutch Air Force. This major international military aviation event usually takes place each year but has been cancelled twice now due to the Corona virus pandemic. The Dutch Air Force took advantage of this interval to transition its ageing F-16 fleet to the super duper modern, stealthy, hyper expensive, hyper loud but quite impressive looking F-35.
All signs point toward another Frisian Flag by the end of March 2022! That is, if the current global and more specifically – European security situation doesn’t throw any curve balls (or other stuff) at us… Finger crossed that all will return to ‘normal’ and we can observe some cool jets again soon. In the mean time, here’s an image I had posted earlier but now re-processed helped by another five or so years of experience trying to master Photoshop.
